This is the initial course for individuals who need to be certified to use a portable nuclear gauge. This certification will allow you to transport and use the nuclear gauge in compliance with the NRC regulations. The licensed organization using this training may need to modify their nuclear license to meet individual state requirements. Additional hands on-training by the licensee holder will be needed prior to operating a nuclear gauge. The course must be completed and a passing score obtained on the final quiz to obtain a certificate of completion. NOTE: Per the U.S. NRC, NUREG-1566, Volume 1, Rev. 2, Appendix C: "Online training for portable gauge users is acceptable. The online training topics should follow the suggested Course Content shown in Appendix C.
