ICC Preferred Provider Continuing Education Course This course will provide a brief overview of the fundamentals, codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) 318, regarding the construction of structural concrete formwork, embeds and joints.  Topics will include a review of the requirements for concrete formwork, embeds, and joints. ICC Preferred Provider Continuing Education Course 0.1 CEU’s  This course will provide a brief overview of the codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) 318, regarding the placement of reinforcing steel used in the construction of structural concrete. Topics will include minimum spacing, standard hooks, seismic hooks, crossties, reinforcement development, splices and bundled reinforcement.  Videos are included for specific review of key topics. ICC Preferred Provider Continuing Education Course 0.3 CEU’s  This course provides an overview of the special inspection process and includes a review of special inspections, stakeholder’s duties, jurisdictional inspections, special inspection types and alternate products and methods.  The role of the special inspector will be covered including inspection duties prior to arriving and at the project site.  Details of the special inspection requirements are reviewed for the inspector, project owner, building official, and contractor.  Included is a review of the differences in requirements for jurisdictional inspections and special inspections, as well as continuous and periodic special inspections. Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the role of the Special Inspector prior to and after arriving on the project site.
