ICC Preferred Provider Continuing Education Course 0.1 CEU’s 

This course will provide a brief overview of the codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) 318, in regards to the practices when using shotcrete. Topics will include the requirements for mix proportioning, aggregates, reinforcement, testing, rebound, jointing, curing processes, and strength testing. 

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the ACI 318 requirements for the placement of shotcrete.
  2. Understand the basics of shotcrete construction.
  3. Understand the reinforcing steel requirements for shotcrete construction.
  4. Recognize the different stages of curing and the requirements for each.
  5. Identify the necessary size, frequency and number of samples needed when performing strength testing.
