ICC Preferred Provider Continuing Education Course
This course provides an overview of the codes and standards for the use of concrete materials. Topics include a review of concrete constituents, materials testing, admixtures, pozzolans and air entrainment. The IBC and ACI 318 specification requirements for concrete and materials used in concrete will be reviewed.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the different types and combinations of admixtures including:
- Water-Reducing Admixtures
- Retarding Admixtures
- Accelerating Admixtures
- Understand the purpose and use of air entrained concrete.
- Understand the types and usages of pozzolans.
- Understand the IBC and ACI 318 requirements for concrete materials.
